From the runways of Sydney and Paris in the 1980s to the forefront of Australian fashion, Melanie Gale’s career has always been intertwined with the world of luxury and design. As a top model, Melanie’s exposure to the finest in fashion cultivated a deep appreciation for elegance and artistry, setting the stage for her next creative chapters.

Throughout the 1990s and 2000s, Melanie thrived as a freelance stylist and Fashion Editor for two leading weekly publications. Known for her bold, signature style, she played a key role in shaping iconic advertising campaigns and dressing Australia’s top celebrities, becoming a driving force in the industry.

In 2012, Melanie embraced a new calling and embarked on a path toward fine jewellery. Beginning with a certificate in diamond grading, she delved deeper into gemmology, earning her diploma in 2014 and sharing her expertise as a gemmology instructor and lecturer for four years.

Now, after completing a jewellery design course in 2023, Melanie is thrilled to unveil her first collections under her new brand, House of Temperance. Inspired by the enchanting allure of coloured gemstones, the brilliance of precious metals, and a touch of astrology, her designs are a reflection of her refined taste and creative journey.

Melanie’s true passion lies in collaborating with clients on bespoke commissions, crafting fully personalized pieces that transform a chosen gemstone into a timeless treasure.
